In line with the principles of the Resistance Economy, optimizing energy consumption, preventing the lack of monitoring, and ensuring accurate measurement of gas consumption in the residential and commercial distribution network, the National Iranian Gas Company proposed a project for the digitalization and subsequent smart upgrading of the existing analog gas meters in the network. Accordingly, the design team of Aryosam Industrial Innovators Company, utilizing the expertise of distinguished scientific talents from Gilan Province, brought the project of manufacturing a smart gas meter with remote reading capability to the pilot production stage in 2017 (1396 in the Iranian calendar).
